Madera High is pleased to announce their Grand Marshal, Mr. Jeff Mendoza. Mendoza was born in raised in Madera and graduated from Madera High with the class of 1966. While attending Madera, he was a member of the football, wrestling, baseball and track and field teams. Following high school Mendoza played football for Reedley College for two years and later graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor's Degree in art and political science. After later receiving his teaching credentials, Mendoza began teaching at the elementary school level but soon earned a job at Madera High and also held coaching positions on Madera's football and baseball teams. Mendoza returned to school and earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Administrative Credential. A year later he was appointed the Vice Principal of Thomas Jefferson Middle School then transferred to be Madera High's Vice Principle of the School of Health Sciences.  Mendoza returned to school yet again and graduated from San Joaquin College of Law in 1996 with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. He also became an inactive member of the State Bar of California. Mendoza retired from Madera Unified in 2006 after 29 years of dedicated service. Madera High is honored to have Mr. Jeff Mendoza as this year's Grand Marshal.
