To be considered on track for graduation, students must meet the minimum credits for each grade level Credits

 
0-59              9th Grade
 
60-119         10th Grade
 
120-169       11th Grade
 
170+           12th Grade
 
Graduation = 230 Credits
 
Each semester course is worth 5 credits a semester, thus earning 10 credits for the year. 
 
Students are enrolled in 6 classes earning a total of 60 credits per year.*
 
*Please note that some students are enrolled in more classes pending their schedule
(i.e 0 period Sports, ROP Classes and Work Experience)
 
 
Madera South High School Graduation Requirements:
 
  • 230 credits

  • All subject requirements listed below completed

  • Have a minimum Graduation G.P.A of 2.0

  • Pass the Mock Interview/Portfolio (Completed in the Junior Year)

  • Pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) in English and Math with a minimum score of 350
