• Recap -- MLK Middle School Winter Concert
The Martin Luther King, Jr., Middle School winter concert was held in the school's cafeteria on Thursday, Dec. 16.
As he's been for virtually every concert during the past two weeks, the intrepid Allan Kristensen, MUSD's Music Coordinator, was on hand and has provided his comments about the evening:
"I thought MLK music teacher Johnelle Robinson and her students put on a very nice winter concert Thursday night."
"Students in both the band and the choir performed very well, and I especially enjoyed Ms. Robinson adding the MLK color guard to the program by performing your Holiday March. That was special, and the color guard is doing a great job."

"MLK has a great staff, and with Ms. Robinson's leadership, the school's students are learning sound foundational techniques for success in performance."

"I also thought it was very supportive of students in the music program to involve Paul Van Loon (principal), Jesus Navarro and Hilda Castrellon (vice principals) at the concert, too. That was very cool!"
