    Principal’s Message

    Furman High welcomes all new and continuing students, their parents and families. Furman High provides all students a high quality, rigorous curriculum and programs in order to boost and excel student learning at all levels. Students individual needs are addressed through small group or one-on-one instruction. Students are given the opportunity to attend several events and activities and to take part in our Student Leadership Club.

    Furman staff is caring and willing to go the extra mile to attend to student academic, socio-emotional and behavioral needs. Their goal is to build rapport and connect with all students in order to boost student motivation. Our teachers are credentialed and experienced within their fields. They have gone through extensive training to further enhance their own pedagogy and skills in order to provide all students with a quality education.

    Parents are invited to take part in the many activities and events that are offered to students and their parents. Opportunities to take part in Furman’s School Site Council (SSC), English Language Parent Advisory Committee(ELAC), Senior Nights and other parent information events are communicated through flyers, calendars, and calls. Furman high has an “open door policy” and all parents are welcome to visit the school and meet with staff.

    Furman high has gone through extensive changes throughout these past few years. Furman high continues to further refine its practices, programs and services in order to continue to provide a high quality education to all students. Furman high is excited with the onset of this new academic year because we know that students will have a great learning experience as they complete their high school journey.
