My name is Kevin Hatfield, and I have been teaching for 23 years, with Madera Unified. I have been part of the Howard family for 18 years and have taught 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, and 7^th grades. I have a wife that also teaches at Washington Elementary School in Madera, and two boys that also attend Howard. I grew up here in Madera and attended Milliview from Kinder through 6th, Thomas Jefferson Junior High, and Madera High. I graduated from Fresno State and began teaching at Berenda School in 1992. When I’m not teaching you can find me at the dojo watching my son work his karate, on a pool deck cheering for my sons while they swim, or sitting on a beach watching the waves crash. I hope the students that have been part of my life learned that it’ s ok to take a risk to challenge themselves.
