Special Services
 
The Department of Special Services coordinates Madera Unified's special education programs and plays a vital role in the response to intervention (RtI) strategies. School psychologists and progrram specialists also fall under the direction of special services.
 
The mission of the Madera Unified Department of Special Services is: Where all children receive a free and appropriate education, in a positive least-restrictive environment, equal access to all areas of the curriculum and research based strategies to remediate skills.
