Facilities Planning and Construction Management
The Madera Unified Department of Facilities Planning and Construction Management is responsible for the district's short and long-term facility needs, enrollment and staffing projections, as well as attendance boundaries and maps. The department oversees new construction and modernization of all district facilities. In addition, the department also manages facilities use requests.
Under the supervision of the Department of Facilities Planning, the district has, since 2005, built and opened five new schools, two new aquatics complexes, the installation of an all-weather track at Memorial Stadium, a renovated continuation high school and the renovation of several other school offices or buildings. The District is currently under construction for it's 14th K-6 elementary school. The Virginia Lee Rose Elementary School will be located on the Southwest corner of Road 28/Tozer and Avenue 14 1/2/Sunrise Avenue, and is scheduled to open August 2017.
