In just one week, our Maverick family will be back together as we welcome our students to campus! The energy, excitement, and possibilities of a brand-new school year are just ahead. I am truly honored to serve as the principal of this remarkable school, and I know that—together—we will make this year one of growth, achievement, and unforgettable moments for our students.
I would like to share a little about myself. My journey in education began early, and I have been fortunate to serve in the following roles:
Vice Principal, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, MUSD Vice Principal, Washington Elementary DLI, MUSD Elementary Teacher, John Adams Elementary, MUSD Substitute Teacher K-12, CUSD Head Start Preschool Teacher, CSUF AmeriCorps Jumpstart Program.
Beyond these roles, I have expanded my learning and leadership through:
Administrative Mentor (Elementary & Secondary) Master Teacher Leadership Teacher & Robotics Coach Advanced Learners Program Teacher Department Administrator: Math, ELA, and ELD Graduate Profile Development Committee.
Community involvement is equally important to me. I have had the privilege of serving in the following capacities:
Parent Club President/VP/Historian – Thomas Jefferson, MHS, Washington School Site Council – Adams, Thomas Jefferson, MHS ELAC – Adams, Washington, Thomas Jefferson Parenting Partners Teacher – Adams
On a personal note, I have two daughters who attended our amazing Blue Pyramid schools and are now in college. This year, my partner Froy and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy, now three months old and growing quickly. I am also fortunate to have two wonderful stepsons, and together we enjoy the busy life of our family of seven. We feel blessed to raise our family here in this wonderful community. Once again, I am honored to serve here at Madison and look forward to meeting you all soon. Let’s make this our best year yet! Warm regards,
