Madera South's Black Student Union honored Ruby Bridges by participating in an organized Walk to School Day on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7:15 am! All students, parents, and community members were welcome to come join the students to celebrate this monumental day in history! Our mission is to educate and inspire. It was amazing to see students wear Ruby and MSHS' favorite color, PURPLE!

Students walked to the MSHS Stadium where club members read the children's book "I am Ruby Bridges". Then they walked once around our track and ended back at Alpha Elementary. Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is the perfect opportunity to teach children about the civil rights movement and make connections to today's collective efforts for change.
