Hi! My name is Michelle Angus, and I am honored to be the Vice Principal here at Howard Elementary School. If you see me away from Howard, you may see me with one or more members of my family, especially all of those I call nieces and nephews. I love spending time with them and planning special experiences for them. You may also run into me in one of the local libraries researching family history, or taking my poodles for outings around town.
I grew up here in Madera, and attended Madison, Alpha, and Thomas Jefferson. I am also proud to be a Madera High School graduate. During high school, I kept busy doing a variety of jobs, including working for the Madera Speedway, Madera District Fair, and as a mother’s helper for several families. I knew from the time I was a young child that I wanted to be a teacher, and most of my positions even in junior high and high school reflected my focus on this goal.
I love working with our students and teachers. It is an amazing thing to have a small part in preparing our students to attain their own goals and dreams. As our young people grow, mature, and leave Howard, I hope that they remember the sense of community they felt at Howard School and in Madera. They are not alone. We are all there, supporting them and cheering them on as they continue their journey toward realizing their dreams. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of them!
