As you may know, this will be our second full academic year at Ripperdan Community Day School. I am now looking forward to this exciting new year as the Educational Leader for this great school program and its dedicated staff. I also look forward to the continued process of learning and growing with our students and working with all stakeholders.
My main goal is to continue with the work that we have completed to this point, that of ensuring that every student is provided the highest degree of quality education in the safest and most supportive learning environment. Working as a team with our staff and parents, I want to continue with our commitment to helping each student achieve to their highest potential. Every student is appreciated and worthy of our finest effort. In order to accomplish this goal, we will continue with THE RIPPERDAN CORE BELIEFS. These areas are very relevant and interconnected to our mission as a school and district and to my personal FIVE RULES FOR SUCCESS. I will be spending some time discussing and implementing these concepts into what we will be doing at Ripperdan. I sincerely believe that by adhering to the basic ideas embedded in these five concepts, our students will become well-rounded citizens that will be ready for the next phase after high school; that being college, career, or the military. When we, as adults and role models, also adhere to these concepts, our students will clearly see the value of these concepts and THE RIPPERDAN CORE BELIEFS.
I am very passionate about the experiences and learning that students get from their middle/high school years. Most of my educational career has been working with students and staff of this age group. This is an important and critical time of transition for our student – moving from the middle/high school experience to preparing for the biggest challenge of all – “life”. What happens during these last couple of years of their k-12 educational experience will have a lasting impression on their overall development and growth into young adulthood.
In closing, I hope that everyone was able to have an enjoyable and relaxing break and now are looking forward to a great year. The year will be busy, exciting, and hopefully very rewarding for you and our students. We (my administrative team) want you to join us in making this the very best educational experience for our students and parents. The most important element in making this possible is by being the best TEAM for our students. Remember, I truly work with an OPEN DOOR POLICY and am a firm believer that there is no I in TEAM, and please HELP ME, HELP YOU in being the best group of educators, learners, and parents. Thanks again for your attention, do not hesitate to contact me, or any of our staff with questions or concerns.
