Madera Unified is frequently contacted with requests to support local businesses and non-profit organizations through the dissemination of flyers or other literature to students and/or employees. While we recognize the important partnership of businesses and non-profit organizations in supporting our schools, the District is unable to grant all of these requests. In order to protect the educational purpose and limited resources of our schools, Madera Unified’s Governing Board has established a policy related to the distribution of material in schools. Our district cooperates with community groups and organizations that sponsor activities of an educational/enrichment nature for students by distributing materials electronically via Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.
To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online within a 24 hour period. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.Check out the 'How to Get Started with Peachjar' one-pager.
· Visit www.peachjar.com
· Register as an Enrichment Provider (account type).
· Upload your flyer for approval.
Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny your request. Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school. Allow 10 working days for processing of flyers.
Approval dates to remember for the 2020/21 School Year:
- September 9 through December 4, 2020
- January 15 through May 31, 2021
- No flyers will be accepted in between these two periods.
