James Monroe participated in the world-wide campaign of The Great KindnessChallenge!

Here is a reminder of the GKC.

The GKC initiative, presented by Kids for Peace, is a global campaign that promotes kindness in kindergarten through grade twelve schools. It is a positive, action-based bullying-prevention initiative that creates a school culture of kindness, compassion, unity, and respect.

James Monroe would like to thank our very own school counselor, Ms. Duarte, for having led the charge with this campaign here at James Monroe and for the creation of  fun activities that promote kindness among all staff, teachers, students, and the community!Every day included a THEME for Dressing Up and Performing an act of KINDNESS.  Students who participated in the dress up days were given a ticket for daily prizes!  We had nice prizes during the week and on Friday, we had larger prizes for the students!  We would like to thank James Monroe's Parent Club for providing the prizes for our students!
