Members of the Madera Leo Club came to James Monroe Elementary on Tuesday, November 30, 2022 to bring donations to our Mighty Bear family. The club is led by advisors, Ruth Nishimoto, Chris Hansen and Alicia Gonzales.

The Madera Leo Club is an off-campus club for junior high and high school students sponsored by the Madera Evening Lions.  The Leo Club has been giving children coats, shoes, and socks in Madera for over fifteen years.  There are current Leo members who have shared with the club that they once received a coat or a pair of shoes from a Leo, and looked forward to the day when they could join.  Madera's Got Talent is the primary fundraiser for their New Coat Project and New Shoes and Socks Project. This year, Madera’s Got Talent Season 7 was held in October. The show raised $5000.
