Schoolwide Rally Begins Red Ribbon Week at Monroe
Red Ribbon Week at James Monroe kicked off in a big way last week with the school decorated in red ribbons, and a school-wide rally to begin the week.
The rally began with the pledge salute, and Mr. Perez explained the reason behind Red Ribbon Week. Mrs. Carillo, then followed up with information about activities for the week and the dress-up days.
After that, activities began, including two staff-student games. There was a spoon and egg race, followed by a water balloon toss. It was a fun time for the whole school.
Mr. Perez provided some Indian comments and discussed their importance. Red Ribbon Week. Students were then dismissed back to their classes. Please enjoy some photos of memories from the rally.
