  • Classified Quarterly Employee Award Criteria

     

    Purpose of Award

    The Classified Quarterly Employee Award honors exceptional classified employees whose contributions exemplify the District’s commitment to excellence, high expectations, and student success.

    Award Criteria

    • Recognize outstanding full-time and part-time permanent classified staff who demonstrate the District’s standards of excellence and serve as Student Champions.
    • Reward employees who show exemplary achievement, contributions, and performance in their roles and beyond.
    • Acknowledge employees whose efforts inspire and support the performance and achievement of students and colleagues.
    • Ensure recognition is fair, with equal consideration for all eligible staff regardless of site, department, or level of responsibility.

    Eligibility

    • Open to all classified staff (regular classified, confidential, supervisory, and classified management) with at least two (2) years of continuous service in MUSD.
    • Eligible employees may work at any district department or school site, full-time or part-time.
    • Each July, all Classified Quarterly Employee nominations are reviewed to select the Loretta Edwards Employee of the Year Award, presented in September.

    Criteria for Selection

    • Leadership & Service: Supports, motivates, or inspires others; fosters teamwork; demonstrates exemplary performance; pursues professional development.
    • Outstanding Service to the District: Contributes to district-wide goals; serves on committees; participates in or volunteers for events beyond regular duties.
    • Commitment to Students: Advocates for and supports student success, directly or indirectly, through leadership, mentoring, or going above and beyond to serve students.
    • Community Involvement: Engages in volunteer work or community activities that enrich the lives of individuals or the broader community.

    Selection Process

    • A Selection Committee will include one representative from each of the following: Madera Linkage Foundation and Madera Chamber of Commerce.
    • The Committee will use a rubric scoring sheet to evaluate nomination forms.

     

    Award Recognition

    • Recipients will receive a certificate suitable for framing and recognition at a Personnel Commission meeting in November, March, or May.
    • Awardees’ names will be highlighted in the MUSD Weekly Staff Communication.
