The Madera Unified Department of Facilities Planning and Construction Management oversees new construction and modernization of all district facilities. The department is responsible for the district’s short and long-term facility needs, enrollment and staffing projections, as well as attendance area boundaries and maps. In addition, the department manages all facility use requests.
Since 2005, under the supervision of the Department of Facilities Planning and Construction Management, the district has built and opened seven new schools, two new aquatic complexes, new buildings at Madera South High School, including a new maintenance/weight room building, Cal Safe building, and School-Based Health Center, and numerous other new construction and modernizations at various school sites.
