Welcome to Madera Unified School District, Department of Transportation. We take great pride in the service that we provide to the students of our district.
Our school bus drivers travel over one million miles annually. They provide safe and efficient transportation to over five thousand students that live outside of the established walk in boundaries. We also provide transportation to many of the students that take part in activity trips outside of our district boundaries.
If you have questions or concerns that are not addressed on our web page, give us a call and we will do our best to help you. OUR MISSION
It is the mission of the Department of Transportation to provide a safe learning environment and a safe efficient quality of transportation services to all students.
Home to School Transportation
Home to school transportation is provided at no charge for students who attend Madera Unified School District Schools and reside outside the established radius zones as defined below:
Grades K-6th = Radius zone will be drawn at a distance of 1 mile from the school site. Grades 7-8th = Radius zone will be drawn at a distance of 1.5 miles from the school site. Grades 9-12 = Radius zone will be drawn at a distance of 2 miles from the school site.
The radius zone is measured by drawing a circular radius from a central location around the school within the school’s attendance boundary.
