The Madera Unified Board of Education's meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, with some exceptions when only one regular meeting is held (click here for links to the current schedule and other information). Board Workshops may be scheduled at the discretion of the Board.
There will be instances in which Regular Board meeting dates, locations, or times may change. To confirm the date and time and/or location of a MUSD regular board meeting, please call the Superintendent's Office at (559) 675-4500 extension 220, or email mariaelizondo@maderausd.org.
MUSD Board meetings are held in accordance with the Brown Act except during a state of emergency as permitted by California law. Board Meeting Agendas are divided in two sessions, as listed below:
Closed Session - Scheduled to start about 5:00 p.m. after a brief public session with an opportunity for public comment on items listed in the Closed Session portion of the agenda.
Public sessions - The main public session is scheduled to start about 6:30 p.m. Should a member of the public wish to speak on an item on the public meeting agenda section, pay attention to the directions provided at the meeting for public comment.
Note: Public Comments on an item listed on the agenda may be submitted via email to mariaelizondo@mauderausd.org at least 24 hours prior to a scheduled meeting.The email must include the following:
Your full name and city of residence.
The agenda item number and name your comment is about.
Limit your comment to no more than 390 words.
All Board meeting agendas are posted at the MUSD District Office at 1902 Howard Road and on this website.
Special Board meetings may be called as needed. In the case of a special meeting being held, the agenda will be posted in the MUSD District Office and on this website no less than 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
