Trustee Diebert was elected to the Board in 2022 and is currently serving her first term representing Area 2 on the Madera Unified Governing Board. She is a retired classified employee who worked for the Madera Unified School District (MUSD) for 32 years.
Born and raised in Lima, Perú, Trustee Diebert moved to the US at the age of 21. Like many immigrants, she faced numerous challenges, but her dreams were bigger. She attended high school and college in Lima before relocating to Madera in 1989, where she immediately began her career at Madera Unified, advancing from Teacher's Aide to Senior Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.
Trustee Diebert believes that success is measured by accomplishing one's goals and objectives in life. During her time with MUSD, one of her proudest achievements was the implementation of Student Board Members. She worked closely with the Governing Board and Superintendent to ensure they had the information necessary to bring students into this leadership position, and she assisted and coached the first cohort of Student Board Members to become successful leaders at their schools, in Student Voice meetings, and at board meetings where they represented their peers' needs and requests. Since then, she has witnessed how Student Board Members have elevated student voice to new heights, and she continues to stay connected with former Student Board Members.
Trustee Diebert enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading, and working toward the betterment of her community. She is passionate about helping children become leaders and good citizens in their communities.
