About the Health & Wellness Department

  • The Department of Health and Wellness is committed to enhancing the well-being of our students through a dedicated team of professionals. Here’s a brief introduction to our team members and their roles:

Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Clinicians

Our clinicians provide individual and group counseling to address mental health concerns, helping students build resilience and develop coping strategies. They work closely with students to create tailored treatment plans that support their emotional well-being.

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

Our BCBAs conduct behavioral assessments and perform Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of problematic behaviors. These assessments help in understanding why certain behaviors occur and how they can be managed or replaced with positive alternatives.

Trauma-Informed Behavioral Analysts (TIBA)

These specialists focus on understanding the effects of trauma on student behavior. They employ evidence-based interventions that promote healing and growth, ensuring that our services are sensitive to the needs of students who have experienced trauma.

Community Support Specialists

Our specialists assist students in accessing community resources and services, facilitating connections to support systems that can enhance their overall well-being. They play a vital role in case management and advocacy, ensuring students receive the help they need.

Nurses

Our nursing team provides essential healthcare services, including health screenings, immunizations, and health education. They work to promote physical health and ensure that students are aware of the medical resources available to them.
