If you would like to be an active participant in the implementation of MUSD’s WSCC model, please become a member of the MUSD wellness committee and/or a local school health council. Meeting dates can be found on the PE and Wellness calendar. For more information regarding district wellness, committees, councils, and/or wellness events near you, please contact your MUSD school office or one of the following MUSD departments: Athletics and Physical Education, Child Nutrition, Health Services, or Student and Family Support Services.

5 Ways to Build a Successful School Health Team | Action for Healthy Kids | February 2021

Action for Healthy Kids enlisted Roxanne Schallberger, a 6th grade teacher from James Madison Elementary School in MUSD, to share how she created a School Health Team, known as a School Health Council in the MUSD Wellness Policy, that is successfully implementing and promoting initiatives to make Madison a healthier school.
